Why this salt cellar
A hand-carved marble vessel for the salt you reach for ten times a day. The stone stays cool to the touch, the lid sits flush, and the weight of it keeps the cellar planted on the counter when you pinch one-handed.
Specs
- Material: real marble, hand-carved (slight veining variation piece-to-piece)
- Dimensions: approximately 3.5" diameter × 2.5" tall
- Includes: matching marble lid, flush-seated
- Color options: Wave Gray, Cloudy White
- Multipurpose: salt, herbs, dry spice, jewelry, watches, rings on the dresser
- Each piece has its own grain — natural stone, not printed
How we use it
We keep salt by the stove, not in a cabinet. The marble cellar sits next to the burners with the lid off when Lisa is cooking, lid on between meals so the salt stays dry. Same vessel earns a second shift on the bedroom dresser holding her watch overnight.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Avoid prolonged moisture and harsh acids (lemon, vinegar) sitting on the stone — marble is reactive. Light variation in grain and tone between pieces is the point of natural stone, not a defect.

Customer reviews
The Wave Gray is even more beautiful in person. The veining on mine has these soft slate tones that look like actual marble countertops. Lid fits flush and the magnet feels secure.
I cook by feel and pinch salt all day. Having this on the counter instead of digging through my pantry has changed how often I season properly. Worth it just for that.
Got the Cloudy White and it sits beside my range like a sculpture. Veining is unique to each piece, which I love. Mine has a soft taupe ribbon running through it.
Husband bought it for me as an anniversary gift after I had been eyeing it for months. Wave Gray. The matching marble lid was the detail that sold me.
Cellar is gorgeous. I will say the lid is a touch heavier than I expected, so it makes a slight clunk when you set it down. Not a complaint, just an observation.
Renting a small kitchen and wanted one statement piece that did not feel cheap. This is it. The Cloudy White picks up the morning light beautifully.
Hand-carved is not just marketing. You can feel the slight irregularity that gives it character. Looks like something from a cooking magazine.
Replaced my plastic salt shaker with the Wave Gray cellar. The kitchen feels more grown-up now. Friends ask where I got it every time they come over.
My husband saw it on my registry and bought it for me before our anniversary. Wave Gray. Fits a generous handful of Maldon flakes. Lid keeps the salt from drying out.
Cloudy White is so much prettier in real life than in the listing photos. Mine has these soft gray veins. Looks intentional.
Beautiful and well-made. The packaging was minimal which I appreciate, though the marble had a tiny dust film that wiped off easily. Looks great on my counter now.
Got Wave Gray. Veining is dramatic and looks like a small landscape painting. I keep flake salt in it. Lid has a satisfying small thud when you put it back.
Designed our kitchen around natural materials. This fits right in. The hand-carved quality means no two are identical, which I respect.
Bought the Cloudy White for myself and the Wave Gray for my mom for Christmas. Both gorgeous, both unique. Mom uses hers for jewelry on her dresser.
Heavier than I expected. Feels like a proper piece of stone, not a thin marble veneer. The lid lifts off cleanly with no dragging.
My husband used it as a watch dish for the first week before I claimed it for the kitchen. Hand-carved marble works for both.
Cloudy White. Slightly more cream-toned than pure white, which I actually prefer because it warms up the kitchen. Lid fits well, no rattle.
Designer quality at a reasonable price compared to the $80+ ones I saw at boutiques. Wave Gray sits on the open shelf in my pantry-style coffee bar.
Sturdy enough that I trust it on my counter near the stove. The marble stays cool which I think might actually help keep the salt dry.
Cloudy White. Bought it after seeing one on a cooking show. Mine has a beautiful pale gold-cream tone. The lid has a tiny knob that makes it easy to lift one-handed.
Beautiful piece. I will say my Wave Gray has a small chip on the underside of the lid that does not affect function but I noticed it. Customer service offered a replacement, I declined since it does not show.
Wedding registry purchase. The Cloudy White is exactly what I wanted on my counter. Looks like a piece of art rather than a kitchen tool.
Holds about half a cup of salt comfortably. I refill maybe every six weeks. The lid keeps everything dry near my range.
Wave Gray. Mine has a striking dark vein down the side that looks almost like calligraphy. Each piece really is unique.
